The Santiago de Compostela Convention Bureau (SCCB), the office responsible for promoting the city and to attract congresses to the city will present its web today (19/01/2005) as web as its profesional guide. The mayor of Santiago, Xosé Sánchez Bugallo, The General Director of the Turismo de la Xunta, Maria Anton, and the councillor of Tourism and President of CSB, Francisco Candela, will be present at 1300h in the Hostal de los Reyes Católicos with the new promotional elements of the city as the stage to host events and congresses. The event will also be attended by the President of the Trade Commerce, Jesus Asorey, the Director of Turismo de Santiago-Incolsa, Iñaki Gaztelumendi, as web as the presidents of the Asociaciones Provinciales de Hospedaje y Restauración de Santiago, Manuel Gonzalez and Juan Silva, respectively. The SCCB, who currently has 55 members from the tourism sector, is the office responsible in attracting meetings to the Santiago and to strengthen the use and development of tourism infrastructures of the city and the specific services in the field of meetings. The profesional guide and the web of SCCB will offer a complete information on Santiago de Compostela as web as the companies and entities that are part of this office. The list comprises of four specialised travel agencies, four congress halls, 14 hotels of three to five stars, five PCOs, eight restaurants and 17 service companies.
