Since its opening in July 1998, the Valencia Congress Centre has exceeded its initial expectations, converting it into a national and international reference in its sector and an authentic motor in the economic development for Valencia.

In these times, 1,169 events were held and 743,122 attendees, with an international quota of 18% of its activity, puts the Centre as a tourism attraction that has generated a direct impact in the city of more than 250 million Euros. Currently, the Centre has more than 177 events committed for the next years, both national and international including for the year 2012.

During the last years, the Norman Foster building has won numerous recognition both for its design and the management of its facilities and services, in addition to, recently, with a triple recognition of the ISO Quality and Environment, the Q for the destination of quality tourism by the Institute for the Spanish tourism quality.
