Barcelona is preparing to be the center of attraction of the amusement parks industry of Europe and the Middle East. The Euro Attractions Show (EAS) 2016, to be held from 18 to 22 September at the Fira Convention Center Granvia, will combine training sessions and debates on the situation in this sector, with an extensive program of special events.

The Euro Attractions Show (EAS) is owned and produced by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Entertainment (IAAPA), and is the most important conference and trade show in Europe dedicated to the attractions parks industry. Visitors come from all across Europe and the Middle East to meet with industry professionals, see other parks and facilities and promote their attractions. More than 9,000 professionals are expected.

Visitors represent different types of attractions, including theme parks, resorts, adventure parks, zoos and aquariums, museums and science centers, family entertainment centers and more. Overall, more than 425 companies will exhibit in an area of 12,000 square meters- the greatest in the history of this event-.

Nothing beats experience, so many special events will take place in recreational destinations of Barcelona and the Costa Dorada, such as PortAventura World, the Tibidabo, the Barcelona Aquarium and the waterpark Illa Fantasia. The program includes, among others, an educational visit to PortAventura World to visit the Ferrariland works; or an opening reception at the Tibidabo amusement park,

At a more educational level, we can highlight a leadership breakfast in Fira Gran Via, a forum for young professionals, an educational visit to the Aquarium of Barcelona, a forum of waterparks in Illa Fantasia,

Its promoters hope to “bring together business professionals worldwide. EAS 2016 arouses strong interest among its members in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and Benelux and experience a growing expectation among companies in the Middle East and Africa.”
