What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
The tech fever seems to be never ending, as tech seems to be ever-evolving, not always easy to grasp... and has the ability to greatly improve meetings and meeting planners´s jobs. The latest initiative comes from the North American member of the Reed Travel Exhibition family (June 15-17, Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, Nashville), which announced it is partnering with DAHLIA+ to create the TECH Collective, an area located within the Central Hub that will offer startups exhibiting at ibtm america 2016 the opportunity to showcase their products and services to Hosted Buyers.

According to Jaime McAuley, Event Director, “the Central Hub is one of the busiest and most popular areas on the show floor, where exhibitors and Hosted Buyers can attend education sessions on current topics in the world of technology and digital marketing, find out more about the ibtm events app, and network with industry peers. This year we have decided to add even more excitement with the TECH Collective, a special area where exhibitors can conduct live demonstrations of their products in front of Hosted Buyers.”

A select number of registered exhibitors will be chosen to participate based on their ability to provide technology solutions that address the latest trends and challenges within the meetings and events industry. Chosen exhibitors will be provided with pods located within the TECH Collective and will have the opportunity to conduct demos at designated times. The focus of the TECH Collective will be on emerging tech companies providing innovative inventions addressing the management of events and attendee engagement.

In addition to the TECH Collective, the Central Hub will feature education sessions on hot topics in technology by thought leaders within our industry, and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) areas that will resonate with current trends within the industry.
