What is ‘NetZero Events’, the international commitment of the MICE industry? What do ChatGPT and artificial intelligence for events mean? Companies still far from defining sustainability targets in MICE
Presented during the latest edition of EIBTM, the Green Global Alliance is the union of three venues with significant sustainable policies: Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, Cape Town International Convention Centre and Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

What did they do? ACC Liverpool reduced its emissions by 50% and uses 20%less electricity. The design of the building, the isolation solutions, the air control made this possible. The venue also features five 20-metre high turbines and uses rainwater for the bathrooms. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is the first venue with the 6 * Star Green Star certification. It uses solar panels, a special ventilation sustem and waste water is processed to be used for watering the plants. Finally the Cape Town International Convention Centre is certified ISO-14001. Besides CO2 compensation, it has a green team, uses clean detergents and supports the campaign Nurture Our World (NOW).
