Celebrate with us

Enjoy the most beautiful spots in Arratia, with views of Gorbea and surrounded by one of the largest vineyards in Bizkaia. We offer you different options to create your menu, combining avant-garde gastronomy with the most traditional dishes in a farmhouse with more than 100 years of history. We have several spaces for holding events, two dining rooms with capacity for 250 diners. We also have an outdoor space where we can host all kinds of events or celebrations for up to 450 people.

Garena is a traditional Basque farmhouse located in the heart of nature between the Gorbea and Urkiola natural parks, about 40 minutes from Bilbao and Vitoria. Under the guidance of chef Julen Baz (the youngest Michelin Star chef in the Basque Country), we value “new traditions”, taking our history and the farmhouse where we are located as the essence, transforming it into a gastronomic proposal with innovative dishes, full of freshness and identity.

We offer a gastronomic experience in a beautiful 17th century ‘Baserri’, a farmhouse surrounded by vineyards and ancient customs. The basis of Garena’s cuisine is the same as that used by our ancestors to feed entire families, long hours of stews cooked by the hand and care of grandmothers and mothers in the farmhouses.

Now at Garena you can enjoy three different menus created for each occasion. A gastronomic proposal that draws on the basics of our cuisine: good produce, embers, broths and stews to transform our gastronomic tradition into innovative dishes, full of freshness and identity.
